Originally from the New York Metropolitan Area, I completed my BS in Environmental Biology from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (along with a minor in Environmental Writing and Rhetoric). I am currently pursuing my MS in Environmental Systems at UC Merced, focusing on potential bio-remediation applications for fungi in aquatic ecosystems. Ultimately I’d like to gain the tools and experience necessary to implement large-scale mycoremediation systems worldwide. 

LJ graduated with a MS in Environmental Systems in 2018 and is now working as a high school science teacher in the Midwest.
