My research interests are broadly related to geo- and environmental chemistry, landscape evolution, and intersections between ecological, geological, and anthropological systems. I began working with the Beutel Lab in fall 2019. I am primarily working on a research project exploring environmental impacts of tobacco and cannabis and their associated public health impacts (funded by CA TRDRP). I also occasionally assisting with other projects related to reservoir water quality and sediment monitoring. Prior to joining the Beutel Lab, I received my BS and MS degrees in Geology from the University of Pittsburgh and worked in geoscience research, education, interpretation, and project management roles in field, laboratory, museum, and indoor and outdoor classroom settings in Pennsylvania and California. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, biking, and other activities exploring the mountains, coast, and where I live in between them, as well as dancing and cooking. I am from Pittsburgh, PA, and moved to Merced, CA in 2015.
