At UC Merced, she works regularly with first-year students in writing classes as a Continuing Lecturer and supports faculty by serving as the Merritt Writing Program’s First Year Composition Assistant Director. She also served as committee chair for MWP Assessment Committee and as co-chair for the MWP Anti-Racist Task Force. She supports graduate students through acting as pedagogy coordinator for the NSF AGEP CA HSI Alliance, an alliance charged with diversifying the professoriate. She is dedicated to designing classroom, curricular and programmatic models that foster self-efficacy, sense of belonging and awareness of intersectionality in university students
