I am an associate professor at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Sport Sciences, Sakarya/Turkey. At Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, I am a member of Exercise and Spor Pychology Lab. I obtained my Bachelor degree with a distinction honor form the department of Physical Education and Sport/Sakarya University in 2007. I completed my MSc at Kingston University, London where I focused on sport psychology. I then started working as a lecturer at Sakarya University and obtained a PhD from Kocaeli Univerity/Turkey. I have also been a visiting scholar at University of Porto, Portugal.
I have joined SHARPP lab to colloborate with Dr. Martin Hagger on a research project which is funded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.
My researches focuses on exercise and sport psychology. I particularly like to focus on sport motivation and parent/coach/athlete relationships. I am also a former international wrestler. I enjoy various physical activities such as walking, running, playing tennis and badminton.
