Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) Meta-Analysis: to identify the psychological constructs associated with intention to perform, or actual participation in self-management behaviors in Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) patients. Social cognitive constructs such as attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, motivation, self-efficacy, risk perception, and knowledge have been associated with intention or motivation to participate in ‘lifestyle’ behaviors. This review will fill the gap by examining associations between these constructs on intention to perform FH management behaviors including physical activity, healthy diet, and medication adherence.
