I received my bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (Brazil), in 2016 and my master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2019. I am a fifth-year doctoral student in the Psychological Sciences Health Psychology Ph.D. program at UC Merced. My research interests include health behavior change, motivation, physical activity, physical education, and mental health. I am primarily interested in promoting youth health and well-being by enhancing youth physical activity experience through theoretical and practice-based interventions. During my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family and engaging in outdoor activities.
